Our Approach

Holding Hope views grief as a natural response to a loss of any type. While common cultural attitudes and practices often attempt to pathologize, minimize, marginalize, or even stigmatize grief, Holding Hope cultivates an atmosphere in which grief is welcomed, openly addressed, honored, accepted, and integrated as a vital part of the therapeutic process.

Our approach to grief helps to normalize and validate the grief experience as well as to provide the appropriate supports and strategies that might be useful for children, teens, and adults of all ages as they navigate their lives after they have experienced a significant loss.
